And it felt so special, that ever since – everything has been turning around it.
It’s about feeling invisible. In a time when EVERYONE is on the internet promoting themselves.. I feel like we are less & less connected. EVERYONE wants to be seen, therefor NO ONE really IS.
The song is about that desperation that drives people to do crazy things just to get noticed. It’s not about WHAT you’re doing anymore. It’s about how big the reaction to it will be.
It makes me wanna cry to be honest.

Let’s start a new movement that’s about actually really living the life and doing things because we believe in them, instead of chasing something that makes us more and more invisible.

Been writing, playing live, working on a little pure & raw project with the band, gave some songs to cool artists, went on a little trip to france, got a new tattoo, did a fun promotional shoot & just been busy and really happy!:)

Last week was CHAOTIC! but really amazing!
I went to Poland for two days to see my family. Especially for my babysister which I AM HOPELESSLY IN LOVE WITH!!!!!!HOW COULD YOU NOT BE?!?!–>

I hope she’ll stay 4 years old forever:)

Anyways.. After that I had some writing sessions in London (Kensaltown). Which was sooo amazing! I do it often, but this time was really special because the longer you do these sessions- the more amazing artists you get to write for.
It’s a cool thing – writing for other artists. You get to become some one else for a moment. I really enjoy it and it seriously feels like therapy to me. Helps me deal with stress and negativity…

REALLY happy about everything!!! (THANK YOU KENSALTOWN!I LOVE YOU :P )

 So…… I’m gonna do A LOT of writing this next week (for me and others), have some meetings, and celebrate my mum’s birthday :D

Do you know that feeling when life gets complicated & you just wish you could be 7 years old again when climbing trees & running around outside was the only thing on your mind?

Makes you remember about the simple things in life. Don’t get me wrong.. I do value the struggle that comes along with being an adult.. But I also think you have to go back to basic once in a while…

1. movie-nights with my best friend!!

3. sitting in the backyard with my mom and talking till 3pm, while drinking our favorite wine!
4. going to small theater- concerts
5. reading gossip-magazines in bath!!!!!
6. driving  around with my love, in his smelly car :D
7.  hugging my dog
8. singing jazz
9. getting really drunk with friends and dancing for hours to 90′s music!!!
10. ironing (don’t ask me why)

it’s been too long again…. My intentions are always to write weekly but as the chaos in my life grows- I find myself having less & less time to sit down and write. Still no excuse:) I will write more!
The acoustic gigs kicked off with an intimate little show @ The Elgin in Notting Hill… To be honest- my nerves were killing me! it’s been so long since I sat down alone behind a piano & just played the songs as they were written..
It’s such a different energy.. With a band you have the adrenaline, the beat pumping.. 6 more people with you on stage…
When it’s acoustic- you feel soooo exposed! You really have to open up and let people see you for who you are. IT’S SCARY! here is a little video of “cherry” @ the elgin:)

Two days ago I did a little show @ the Blag Club (Notting Hill Gate) with 7 OTHER ACTS!  The evening was soooo good! It’s a small club but there’s something special about it! Everyone working there is really cool, relaxed, young… I LOVE IT! And the place smells of insent! So I felt home straight away;)
I came in with a HUGE flightcase with a piano in it, and the boys helped me drag it upstairs. So nice <3
I made some snapshots of the last couple of days for you.. just so you know what my life’s like:)
it’s lovely:) But sometimes really heavy. Yesterday I slept for 20 hours straight!
WAS SO TIRED!
Today is my day off and i’m going to practise my songs and write some more:)
Tomorrow I’m playing @ The MARYLEBONE SUMMERFAYRE ( www.marylebonesummerfayre.com ) which I’m really excited about! I will make some more pictures and post them for you next week!

So now as the hay fever is really working on my nerves (is it just me or is it on steroids this year?!!??! GRR)

I realise……. THE SUMMER’S COMING!!! It’s my favorite time of the year. It brings such a positive energy, and I get inspired by everything!

So I made a list of my absolute (fashion &amp; beauty) SUMMER MUSTS!!! Here we go :)

number 1: the maxi dresses!!! oh gosh I love love love them!!!! add black & white stripes and I’m SOLD!

number 2: SHORTS!!! I used to think I couldn’t pull them off. But with the right attitude ANYONE can!!

number 3: I’m a white white white WHITE girl. No matter how long I bake in the sun. So this is my savior!! (it’s instant! no waiting! no stripes!)

 

number 4: WATER! not only to drink but misting’s amazing too! it’s energy, clarity, positivity!!!

number 5: great for festivals ;)   but I wear them with everything/ anytime! dresses..shorts..jeans..

number 6: another classic & my best friend during the summer!!!! AVIATORS!!! seriously.. will they ever go out of style? — nope:)

 number 7: nude nails!! they go so well with my next must:P

number 8: flashing lips! to add some rock’n'roll :P 

number 9: chocolate! chocolate ice cream/ chocolate milk/ chocolate sauce/ chocolate EVERYTHING! I just love it! It’s like a love/hate relationship though… Can’t live with it can’t live without it…oh well

number 10: just a plain white t-shirt:) simple classy cool sexy sweet soft edgy… it’s EVERYTHING!!

I’m sooooo excited about it all!!!

There’s a lot to think about though.. Deciding what the setlist will be, the visual concept (WHAT SHOULD I WEARRRRRRRRRR!!!!! PANIC!), working on my fitness (running!!!), vocal exercises, and at last but not least: TRYING TO KEEP MY COOL AND NOT FREAK OUT! (so nervous..)

And inbetween all of that I’m writing a lot.. For other artists as well as for myself.
But it’s all good! And I just really love London..
Everyday I wake up, go out and feel excited and alive! And there’s something about this city that’s so inspiring, artistic, cool, rough.. There’s always something new and surprising around the corner.
There’s a place that ALWAYS makes me go ”awwwwww <3 ” whenever I walk by..

I haven’t tried anything yet, but I’ve decided that if my showcase goes well- I’m gonna go & treat myself bigtimeeeeee!!!
